2025 Events
22nd May 2025 Visit to Britannia Royal Naval College, Dartmouth
We all met in Coronation Park in Dartmouth for our picnic lunch, then up to the college for our 2.3/4 hr tour which was great. We were very lucky with our guide Ben, really nice and knowledgeable chap.
7 peeled off back to Budleigh and 8 of us had dinner in the Half Moon at Clyst St Mary. We got home about 9.30. A very long day but thoroughly enjoyed by all.
15th May 2025. 40th Anniversary train journey from Exmouth to Dartmouth followed by a cruise up the river Dart

The Pensioners’ Advice Fair
David Reed, the local MP, hosted a Pensioners Advice and Information Fair at the Public Hall in Budleigh Salterton on Friday 14th March.
The Club had a stand at the event to raise awareness and to recruit new members. A number of gentlemen took away leaflets about the Club and hopefully, some of these will lead to enquiries about membership.
David Reed himself visited the stand and met our Chairman, Peter Heron (see photo). During their discussion, Mr Reed offered to give a talk at a future Club meeting, to which non-members could be invited, with a view to them subsequently seeking to become members.
This kind offer is being actively progressed and coming as it does in the 40th Anniversary year of the Club, should provide a fitting way of marking the occasion. More details will be circulated when they become available.
